Prime NDT Services, Inc. was incorporated in October, 1996 and began operation in January 1997. In our first ten years we have more than surpassed our anticipated sales and look forward to continued growth.

Our management team has accumulated over 75 years of NDE experience. Each one can say "I've been there and done that!" All team members have held Level III certifications for other companies in the industry that they have worked for, and they have also worked with all of the relevant codes in the US and with foreign codes similar to ASME.

Our President has specialized in ASME / ANSI codes, with extensive experience in ASME Section III and Section IX work. He has also served as a senior staff engineer responsible for over 700 inspectors involved in document review and inspection of a nuclear power project.

Our Vice President is a recognized leader in casting film interpretation and pipeline radiography, as well as a pioneer in the use of automated pipeline crawlers. In addition, we have been involved in inspecting hundreds of elevated and flat bottom tanks to the AWWA and API codes.

We currently have a fleet of twenty 4x4 heavy duty pickups equipped with darkrooms and generators. They are equipped to handle radiographic, magnetic particle, and liquid penetrant inspection at the job site.

In addition, we can provide ultrasonic thickness testing and hardness testing using a portable unit that automatically computes Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell, and Shores hardness values. 

We can also provide x-ray tubes for either external or internal radiography.

Prime NDT recently became the Northeast Distributor for PermaWrap™ pipe repair system. This system incorporates a steel matting in the material that is detectable when using a Smart Pig.  For more information click on http://www.wrapmaster.cc.
